Hello all, this is my first time posting but I was wondering if anyone has every made a superman quilt before? My boyfriend pretty much things hes superman (especially when he drinks lol) We just got our own place a few months back and while rearanging our room the other night we were talking about beds and such and me talking about wanting a huge round bed like shaq brought up superman.anyways, I thot it would be great to get him a comforter or "quilt" with the superman "s" logo for christmas. It seems though, they dont make them plain like that, nor do they make them anywhere near the size i want (our bed is a king size) So i thought about making one, thought im not too expierenced with sewing i know how to.has anyone every done something like this? even if on a smaller scale? Would anyone be interested in doing thing for me and ill pay for materials and labor? I know it would mean alot more probably if i hand made it, but i want it to look super nice.any and all ideas/comments/suggestions would be greatly appriciated. Im glad I thot of this early instead of last min like i usually think of good ideas lol.

this community is usually pretty slow, but maybe some people still read it. what's your favorite place to shop for your craft supplies in the 'burgh? do you adore a secret thrift store where every grandma's craft closet gets donated? do you always frequent a particular joann's fabrics because someone gives you a discount? do you keep a personal list of your top five favorite local craft supplies suppliers? i'm not looking for anything in particular, just your stories & advice. xo

OK, I admit it: I have WAY too many craft supplies, so I'm setting up a section in my Etsy shop to "destash." disCARDS Bricolage Kits include a range of fun items like wood flowers, hearts, and geometric shaps; buttons; cabochons; sequins; beads; printed, embroidered, and embossed papers; miscellaneous text and images from vintage books; fabric scraps; bits of yarn; and assorted ephemera like ticket stubs, calendar pages, and fake credit cards!Great for multimedia collage projects, scrapbooking, and anything else you can dream up!Each 4" x 6" baggie comes filled to the brim with an eclectic assortment that may contain any of the items mentioned above. Coming this weekend to my Etsy shop for just $5.00 each!!!http://disCARDS.etsy.comStill not convinced? Here are just a few reasons to buy a disCARDS Bricolage Kit:1. You're contributing to an amazing cycle, that is not only supporting a fellow artisan, but reducing waste. If not for the "destash" concept, unwanted craft supplies would end up in a landfill, or would sit around collecting dust.2. Just try finding the same quality beads, buttons and papers at a big box craft store for less! 3. It's a fun way to dabble--maybe you don't want to take the plunge and buy a few hundred buttons at a time. Maybe you don't need a whole skein of yarn or a 12" x 12" sheet of scrapbook paper... Bricolage Kits allow you to sample what's out there at a fraction of the cost! Look for shop updates throughout the weekend, and be sure to claim your very own, one-of-a-kind, disCARDS Bricolage Kit!
